if they used different color arrows it\'d be a lot harder to distinguish an arrow for the project from any other arrow stuck around a city. Plus I think the attention getting color of yellow is necessary b/c the arrows aren\'t that big.

what i\'m trying to say is that yellow gets our attention to say: stay away! so for public art based community building it would have, perhaps been a good idea to pick another color. or several.

The Color Psychology of Yellow\n\n * Yellow is a bright that is often described as cheery and warm.\n\n * Yellow is also the most fatiguing to the eye due to the high amount of light that is reflected. Using yellow as a background on paper or computer monitors can lead to eyestrain or vision loss in extreme cases.\n\n * Yellow can also create feelings of frustration and anger. While it is considered a cheerful color, people are more likely to lose their tempers in yellow rooms and babies tend to cry more in yellow rooms.\n\n * Yellow can also increase the metabolism.\n\n * Since yellow is the most visible color, it is also the most attention-getting color. Yellow can be used in small amount to draw notice, such as on traffic sign or advertisements.

it\'s an anxiety inducing color. really. color studies: it will also make you hungry. It\'s a good color for kitchens. . . or places where you want people to want to eat. . . and then H retreats with her useless knowledge. . . saying: don\'t get me started on pink. . . !

hhhuuuummmmmm. they should give out packs of arrows in different colors for different themed spaces/notes. yellow is a scary, warning color. that\'s the only thing that phases me. . .
